Care for bodies
that have been
through a lot.

Acupuncture and integrative medicine for reproductive health, fertility, mental well-being, chronic pain, and inclusive LGBTQ+ care.

Our Clinical Approach

We blend East Asian medicine with evidence-informed care and collaborate with your healthcare or specialty providers when beneficial. Our treatments complement your medical care, not replace it. Whenever appropriate, we include thorough physical assessments and laboratory tests to ensure the best care.

We believe good medicine listens first, explains clearly, and treats the whole person without assumptions.

We believe that symptoms are not isolated problems — they are meaningful signals.

Specialty Care

  • We support reproductive health and fertility for cycle and hormonal concerns, peri- and post-menopausal symptoms, pelvic discomfort, and family-planning goals at any stage. Care may include acupuncture, evidence-informed herbal medicine, and practical nutrition support. All treatments are consent-based, trauma-aware, and use non-assumptive language about bodies, gender, and relationships. When helpful, we collaborate with your gynecologist, midwife, or fertility specialist to create an integrative plan tailored to you.

    Common concerns we treat include:

    • Irregular, painful, or heavy periods

    • PMS, and PMDD

    • Peri- and post-menopausal symptoms (such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, and sleep disruption)

    • Pelvic, uterine, or ovarian discomfort

  • We offer complementary, integrative care for mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, and insomnia.

Our holistic approach supports both body and mind. By gently regulating the nervous system, acupuncture and related therapies can encourage the release of mood-supporting chemicals like serotonin and endorphins, helping you feel calmer, more grounded, and more resilient.

Our treatments are designed to work alone or alongside your existing care, including psychotherapy, psychiatric medications, and other conventional approaches. When appropriate, we collaborate with your mental health and medical providers so your care feels cohesive, safe, and truly integrated.

  • We provide a comprehensive, drug-free approach to pain management to help you feel better and get back to your life. Our treatments include acupuncture, hands-on manual therapies, and herbal medicine.

These options can be used on their own or alongside your current medical care to:

    • Reduce pain

    • Support your body’s natural healing

    • Improve mobility and daily function

    • Enhance your overall sense of well-being

  • LGBTQ+ care is not a separate service here—it’s part of how we practice.

We provide thoughtful, respectful care for LGBTQ+ patients across a wide range of health concerns, including stress, pain, hormonal health, and nervous system regulation.

Our clinic uses inclusive language and trauma-aware practices. Patients are welcome to share names, pronouns, and personal information at their comfort level. Care is collaborative, confidential, and grounded in clinical competence.

My experience with Dr. Bustillo was exceptional. Not only is he highly skilled in his field, but he also shows a genuine care and compassion for his patients. He is truly an outstanding person to have on your healthcare team, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for acupuncture. I am incredibly grateful to have been his patient and wish him all the best in his move to Oregon.

Anyone who finds themselves lucky enough to call Dr. Bustillo their doctor knows that he is the absolute best at what he does in so many ways! I came to him first for shoulder pain, and then for help with fertility needs. He is attentive, caring, kind and always made me feel like I was in the best hands for the care I needed at the moment. He is a gem of a person - as both an acupuncturist and a human being.

I came to Dr. Bustillo after experiencing pain in my lower back for years. After one session I was able to stand straight. After six sessions I was able to travel out of the country walk for miles and never experienced any problems. Later in the year I was told I needed to have surgery for a torn rotator cuff. I went to see Dr. Bustillo again and have not need to have surgery. I would recommend him without hesitation as one of the finest human beings I have ever met as well as a skilled and talented doctor in the field of acupuncture and wellness. He is leaving the Austin Area and if necessary I will travel to wherever he is. He is just that good.
